Arizona State Retirement System:

 

·         Participation is mandatory provided you will be working at least 20 weeks a year for 20 or more hours a week.

·         Your contributions are matched.  Currently 9.10% is taken out for retirement and .50% for long term disability.

·         You may be eligible for long-term disability benefits from the Arizona State Retirement System Long Term Disability Program if you become unable to perform the essential duties of your job.

Committee on Judicial Education & Training (COJET): 

 

·         All court staff shall complete 16.00 hours of continuing education each calendar year.

 

 

Medical Insurance:

 

The choice of one of the following:

·         Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

·         High Deductible Health Plan (Choice Fund/HSA)

·         Open Access Plus (OAP)

 

Each plan contains four optional tiers: employee only, employee and child(ren), employee and spouse, or employee and family. The County pays the majority of the premium share for the employee as well as for the employee and his or her eligible family members. Domestic partner coverage is also available.

 

 

Dental Insurance:

 

The choice of one of the following:

·         Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO)

·         Indemnity type coverage

 

Each plan contains four optional tiers: employee only, employee and child(ren), employee and spouse, or employee and family. The County contributes an established amount for each level of dental coverage. Domestic partner coverage is also available.

 

 

Life Insurance:

 

·         $10,000 basic coverage policy provided at no cost

·         Additional Supplemental Life insurance available in 4 tiers

·         Supplemental Accidental Death and Dismemberment available in 5 tiers with the option of selecting employee only coverage or employee and family coverage

·         Dependant coverage available ($5,000 policy for spouse and $2,000 policy per dependant child)

·         Domestic partner coverage is available

 

Flexible Spending:

Workers Compensation:

 

Justice Court is covered under County Risk Management.  Employees are required to immediately report all work place injuries and/or illnesses to his/her immediate supervisor.

Vacation:

 

·         Judicial Administrative Assistants and designated managers receive 23 days of vacation per year

·         All other staff accrue vacation time at the following rates:

o        0-3 years of service 12 days per year

o        3-7 years of service 15 days per year

o        7-15 years of service 18 days per year

o        15 or more years of service 21 days per year

·         With the exception of Judicial Administrative Assistants and designated managers, vacation time can be carried over from year to year.  On your anniversary, the maximum accrued amount allowed is 240 hours (30 days).

 

 

Sick Leave:

 

·         All employees accrue sick leave at the rate of 12 days per year

·         Sick leave can be carried over from year to year with the maximum allowable accrual being 1,920 hours (240 days).
